DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Andrea Sciandra (Brookhaven National Laboratory (US)
)\n\nSince its discovery in 2012\, the Higgs boson has become a powerful m
irror for exploring the inner workings of the Standard Model. Each new mea
surement reflects a deeper aspect of its nature\, from its couplings to th
e heaviest fermions to the faint whispers of interactions with lighter qua
rks. In this seminar\, we will journey through what we have learned so far
about the Higgs boson’s “beauty” and “charm\,” and what remains
to be uncovered - perhaps even its elusive “strangeness”. Following t
he CERN Council’s recent approval of the Future Circular Collider (FCC-e
 e) as its flagship future project\, the push for unprecedented precision h
as never been more timely. I will discuss how FCC-ee will transform our pi
cture of the Higgs sector\, with a special focus on the experimental chall
enges involved. Specifically\, I will present our recent studies on inner
detector optimization\, tracking\, and advanced flavor identification tech
niques\, demonstrating how these crucial detector R&D efforts will unlock
the next generation of Higgs measurements (H→bb/cc/ss) in the years to c
 ome.\n\nhttps://indico.cern.ch/event/1731917/
