DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Linn Kretzschmar (CERN)\, Hanae Taxis\n\n\n \n\n\n\
n\nAs industries become increasingly connected\, data-driven and autonomou
s\, the ability to monitor assets\, capture critical information and trans
form it into actionable intelligence is becoming a key competitive advanta
ge.\nNext In is a new CERN Venture Connect event series designed to spotli
ght promising startups within specific industry verticals while connecting
them with the corporates\, innovators and decision-makers actively shapin
g those sectors. Each edition brings together industry experts\, entrepren
eurs and technology adopters to explore emerging trends\, discuss real-wor
ld challenges and discover innovative solutions. For this first edition\,
we focus on Monitoring\, Sensing & Industrial Intelligence.\nJoin us for
an engaging online session exploring how new sensing technologies\, advanc
ed monitoring systems and intelligent analytics are helping industries imp
rove operational efficiency\, asset reliability\, safety and decision-maki
ng.\nThe event will feature:\n\nAn industry keynote on key trends\, challe
nges and opportunities in monitoring\, sensing and industrial intelligence
\nPresentations from selected CERN Venture Connect startups working in thi
s space\nAn interactive discussion and Q&A with speakers and participants\
nOpportunities to discover innovative solutions and connect with potential
  partners\n\n\n\n< REGISTER >\n \n\n\nKeynote Speaker\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPhilip
 p SchmidHead Manufacturing Industries\, Swisscom\n \nPhilipp Schmid is Sa
les Director and Head of Manufacturing Industries at Swisscom\, where he l
eads the technical strategy and sales for the industrial sector. He previo
usly headed research and industrialization of Industry 4.0 and Machine Lea
rning technologies at CSEM. He holds an engineering degree in Microtechnol
ogy\, a MAS in Management\, Technology and Economics from ETH Zürich\, an
d a CAS in Digital Transformation from the University of St. Gallen (HSG).
Prior to Swisscom\, he worked at Roche and spent a year as a research fel
low in Australia. He is a member of expert committees\, serves as an innov
ation coach\, and co-founded the Digital Innovation Hub for Robotics & AI.
He was twice recognized as a “Digital Shaper” and is considered one o
 f Switzerland’s key figures in digital transformation.\n\n\n \n \n\n\n
\n\n\n\n \nIn his keynote "You Can’t Improve What You Can’t See - Tur
ning Industrial Blind Spots into Opportunities"\, Philipp will share an in
dustry perspective on how manufacturing and industrial organisations are a
pproaching digitalisation\, monitoring\, automation and industrial intelli
gence\, highlighting emerging opportunities and the technologies that are
expected to shape the sector over the coming years.\n \n\nFeatured Startu
 ps\n\n \n\n\n\n\n \n\n \n\nMaking critical infrastructure observable th
rough advanced monitoring technologies\, enabling organisations to gain in
sights into assets and systems that are traditionally difficult to inspect
or assess. \n\n\n\n \n\n \n\nLeveraging technology and data intelligen
ce to help organisations better understand and optimise complex operationa
 l environments.  \n\n\n\n \n\n \n\nAdvanced fibre-optic sensing soluti
ons that provide real-time monitoring and intelligence for industrial and
 infrastructure applications.\n\n\n\n\n \nAbout CERN Venture Connect\nCERN
Venture Connect (CVC) is a catalyst for deep-tech startups\, offering unp
aralleled access to CERN’s technologies and a premier global network of
investors\, venture builders\, and service providers. Designed to be entir
ely equity-free\, the programme is open to startups at all stages and from
any industry across CERN Member and Associated Member States. \n\n \n\n
