DESCRIPTION: \n\n\nAs AI becomes more pervasive in research software engi
 neering\, new challenges emerge for team leaders across scientific domains
 \, raising questions such as: How do you ensure high-quality research soft
 ware while still protecting your developers’ agency? And how do you navi
 gate ethical and technical concerns related to AI practice in research sof
 tware?\nTo tackle this uncertainty\, senior research software engineers (R
 SEs) in EVERSE have developed a new section in the RSQKit on practical AI 
 guidance\, which shows why research software engineers’ expertise and ev
 aluation skills are more important than ever in AI.\n \nThis joint EVERSE
  – ReSA webinar provides practical support and guidance to open science 
 team leaders and research software managers in deciding the most appropria
 te and sustainable use of AI in their projects.\nThis webinar builds on th
 e roadmap defined by the “Research Software Engineering in the Age of Ge
 nerative AI: Building a Community Vision” workshop\, organised by ReSA i
 n March 2026\, which identified 9 themes\, including: “Developing a play
 book for RSE managers and open-source software project leaders”. \n \n
