Birmingham University, Edgbaston, B152TT
Description
The developer days will be held at Birmingham University, Physics West Building in room 229. To get to Birmingham New Street: - If you're flying in to Birmingham, get the monorail from the airport to the train station (it's free and takes ~2 mins!): http://www.birminghamairport.co.uk/getting-to-the-airport/by-train.aspx The airport to New Street takes 20mins. - If you're coming into London, you can get a direct (but more expensive) train from London Euston to New Street or you can go from Marylebone to Birmingham Moor Street station and walk through the the Bullring shopping centre to get to Birmingham New Street (5mins). To get to the university, you need to get the train to 'University' (that's actually what to ask for when buying a ticket - no 'Birmingham' though) from 'Birmingham New Street' train station. On the big screens, it's best to look for a train going to Longbridge (platform 11a if I remember but check the boards!) as these stop at University. By the way, I apologise in advance for the state of New Street Station :) Once at university (2nd stop after Five Ways), you need to aim for 'R8 Physics West' - just head for the large clock tower and you're pretty much there! For more info, look at: http://www.hep.ph.bham.ac.uk/index.php?page=general/travel/index I'll be providing my mobile number so if anyone has any problems they can give me a ring and if worst comes to worst, I can pick people up from the station or airport! Here are the details for EVO connections. Basically, go to the GridPP universe and you should find them!
