DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Riccardo Salvatico (CERN)\, Gudrun Hiller (CERN)\n\n
Abstract\n\nWe give a brief overview of the Vcb-puzzle\, a mismatch of ext
ractions of the CKM-element V_cb from inclusive and exclusive B-decays\, a
nd its importance for precision flavor physics.  Complementary extraction
is possible from W-decays at the LHC. We report on the recent determinati
on of Vcb from ttbar at CMS\,  https://cds.cern.ch/record/2972245\, and d
iscuss prospects.\n \n\nSpeakers\nRiccardo Salvatico is a CERN experimen
tal physicist working in EP-CMS. He obtained his PhD at the University of
Turin in 2021 and\, before joining the CERN CMS group\, he was a postdoc a
t the University of Kansas. His research activities include searches for r
are decays and for new physics in challenging corners of phase space\, and
precision Standard Model measurements. He worked on the calibration and t
he data acquisition of the CMS ECAL and Pixel tracker detectors\, and is n
ow involved in the development of the new High-Granularity Calorimeter.\n
\nGudrun Hiller is a particle theorist at CERN working on flavor physics
and BSM.  She obtained her PhD at Hamburg University/DESY in 1998 and wa
s a postdoc at Frascati\, SLAC and LMU Munich. Since  2005\, she has been
a Professor at Dortmund University. She works on rare processes with char
m and beauty\, and Standard Model tests across all scales.\n \n\nhttps://
