Description

IN2P3 an IRFU, the two French institutes involved in research in particle physics, nuclear physics and astroparticle, organized in 2011 and 2012 a broad study and debate in order to prepare a roadmap for 2013-2022. Starting in April 2011, 19 working groups prepared strategy documents which were submitted to community feedback. A meeting took place in April 2012 in Giens, South of France, where talks and discussions allowed finalising the recommendations proposed by the community to the Institutes’ managements. Summaries of these recommendations, updated with the latest scientific results since April, are submitted as contributions to the ESPG and to the Open Symposium. This is one of these summaries. The authors are part of the group that worked on this topic. The full document (in French) is available on request from the authors.
