Dear all, the following summarizes the main points of discussion at last week's first open toplhcwg, where action items from the group/experiments is needed. -- decide whether to use BLUE for the cross-section combination. Aim, if possible, at having a combination for TOP2012 -- set-up a W helicity combination team -- contact D0/CDF for the preparation of the first top mass world combination including the LHC. -- finalize the definition of a common acceptance. Quote a value of the measured cross section in that acceptance -- finalize the definition of a pseudo-top for unfolding purposes -- provide cross section comparison to theory by using the PDG top mass value as a reference for both the experimental acceptance and the theory predictions - single top combination: continue investigation on different sensitivities on b-tagging and TH uncertainties - TH systematics: continue harmonisation where possible and use data to compare Q2/IFSR variation. Compare the effect of constraining with data as soon as possible - investigate the dependence of the top mass on transverse momentum of top and b. Study particle multiplicities in top events. - prepare future combinations in the Wtb vertex, single top tW, s-channel, ttbb, tt+boson Let us remind everyone to subscribe to the new open email list lhc-toplhcwg@cern.ch, where general interest topics will be discussed and new open meetings announced. It is proposed to have the next one in October.
