Domenico Vicinanza November, 2006 Major work for EUMEDGRID; major changes in workplan ---------------------------------------------------------------- - Almost finalized the SAM Server installation for EUMEDGRID project hosted in Malta: https://sam.grid.cs.um.edu.mt/sam/sam.py The server part is working fine, still fixing some Oracle Express interaction problems with the client. - Regarding WISDOM (World-wide In Silico Docking On Malaria), one of the biomedical application which is under test by the EUMEDGRID community, within the "eumed" vo: -- successfully completed the registration of the 2422 files (description of chemical molecules required to run WISDOM) on the first of the two EUMEDGRID Storage Elements (namely the Malta one) who gave their availability to host the compound database (the other one will situated in Morocco). -- all the 2422 LFNs were successfully verified (the complete list is available at http://vicinanz.web.cern.ch/vicinanz/checklfn.txt). -- successfully installed the FLEXX (the docking program) files on the Malta SE, with all the required scripts. -- a gzipped tar file with all the compounds, configuration files, as well as all the (easily customizable) scripts prepared to automatically register them on a SE a nd check the consistency of LFNs, are available for other projects/people interested. -- As a result: 5 countries of the Mediterranean area joined the Malaria Data Challenge (October 1st, December 15th).
