Dusan Vudragovic October, 2007 Major work for SEE-GRID; major changes in workplan ---------------------------------------------------------------- - Grid-Operator-On-Duty for one week (October 1-8) https://helpdesk.see-grid.eu/supporter/index2.php?t=tupd&id=974 - New wiki page which describes simple httpd-SSL integration and DN-based authentication http://wiki.egee-see.org/index.php/Simple_httpd-SSL_integration_and_DN-based_authentication - Optimization of the RB/WMS Monitoring tool for usage outside of CERN http://lxb2007.cern.ch/monitoring/monitoring.html - RPM packages for the RB/WMS Monitoring tool http://glite.phy.bg.ac.yu/rbwmsmonitoring/ - Installation of the RB/WMS Monitoring tool at AEGIS01-PHY-SCL for SEE-GRID usage http://glite.phy.bg.ac.yu/rbwmsmon/monitoring.html - Documentation for the RB/WMS Monitoring tool http://wiki.egee-see.org/index.php/RB/WMS_Monitoring - SEE-GRID helpdesk activities One week of September I spent as Grid-Operator-On-Duty (https://helpdesk.see-grid.eu/supporter/index2.php?t=tupd&id=974). During this GOOD shift 7 new tickets were created and several tickets were updated and closed. Status of the tickets in SEE-GRID-2 Helpdesk after this week is given below Number of not closed tickets: 20 Number of open tickets: 6 Number of tickets in progress status: 12 Number of tickets in waiting for response status: 2 Number of unassigned tickets: 0 During the month I wrote wiki page which describes Apache-SSL integration and DN-based authentication (http://wiki.egee-see.org/index.php/Simple_httpd-SSL_integration_and_DN-based_authentication) for the section Web Authentication and Authorization of the SEE-GRID Gridification Guide (http://wiki.egee-see.org/index.php/SG_Gridification_Guide). It can be very useful to those who want to create web applications under Apache's httpd server which will be used by different users who should have different access permissions to various structural parts of the application. This month I reorganized Yvan Calas’ RB/WMS Monitoring tool (http://lxb2007.cern.ch/monitoring/monitoring.html). I optimized the tool for outside for usage from outside of CERN and setup configuration files. RPMs are created and they are available at http://glite.phy.bg.ac.yu/rbwmsmonitoring/. After this I installed tool at AEGIS01-PHY-SCL site (http://glite.phy.bg.ac.yu/rbwmsmon/monitoring.html) for SEE-GRID usage and wrote tool’s documentation and installation guide at SEE-GRID wiki (http://wiki.egee-see.org/index.php/RB/WMS_Monitoring).
