EGEE Items

Grid Operator Hand Over on Duty

  Primary Team Secondary Team
From ROC SouthEastEurope ROC Italy
To ROC DECH ROC UK/I
Issues:
  • UIB (ROC North) very unresponsive: finally suspension has been done by ROC in the weekend (no need to discuss it at the phone meeting).
  • 28 and 29 Jan: COD Dashboard sometimes slow or short problems. On 29 Jan the possible cause was GOCDB.
  • 29 Jan: GOCDB temporary problems:
    • RAL network problems
    • GOCDB system failure
  • 01 Feb: GGUS down in the morning: update to a new release

PPS Reports

None this week.

EGEE Items From ROC Reports

  • Last three gLite updates with lcg utils come with some bugs which are not fixed. All three bugs could be noticed by regular SAM tests. If these updates passed through the PPS it means that PPS is broken. They didn't properly passed through PPS. So, regular PPS SAM tests should catch bugs.
  • PPS needs to have a classic SE or it should be removed from all production sites. Why sites, experiments, VOs think that we need to keep classic SE? Marcin Radecki (discussed with Antonio Retico) – classic SEs will be added to deployment schema (80 classic SEs currently in grid). Need to collect info about why people need to use classic SEs.
  • Out of context: Min: Wednesday-Monday (Chinese New Year break)

Upcoming WLCG Service Interventions

* Pierre CCIN2P3 will update WNs, but this will be transparent.

FTS Service Review

  • Might drop FTS reports from this meeting (Nick will check with Gavin).

ATLAS Service

  • They were trying to retrieve storage space informations from DPMs sites, but some of them are problematic from the point of view of the command dpm-qryconf.
  • Some of them are publishing the informations on the IS (lcg-infosites --vo atlas se), but it's impossible to verify these values without being able to run the dpm-qryconf command.
  • Tickets went out to SE managers.
  • STORM already implemented information providers and they are working.
  • Would be nice to get DPM space reports from Admins, but not a priority at the moment.
  • Discussion about GGUS accepting more than one personal email address for submitting tickets.
Use case of shifter – ticket opened, shift changes, how can new shift update ticket? Would AtlasShift as a new role be a solution? Maria & Thorsten to follow-up tomorrow in GGUS meeting.

ALICE Service

No ALICE presence.

CMS Service

  • GGUS ticket #31800 assigned to the operations. Update in the ticket.

LHCb Service

No LHCb presence.

WLCG Service Coordination

  • CCRC08 formally started today. CMS already exporting data, rest ramping up… for a busy week.

OSG Items

  • There is no problem with OSG. No tickets in escalation report from OSG.
  • Maria jumped in with SE ROC escalation reports with a 4-month old top priority ticket. All tickets will be discussed during ROC managers’ meeting.
  • GGUS tickets that have Savannah ones associated with them should be set to “unsolved”.
