Jamie, I am planning to have monitoring as a major item so rolling in your last item to the GDB would be fine.

Subject: Draft agenda for (pre-)GDB

Hi John,

I was thinking of something like this:

09:00 scope & scale of the challenge: based on site feedback on resources for Feb (up to full reprocessing at sites with resources, possibility just read pass over all events with calibration db lookup for others)

09:30 pre-challenge steps: SRM v2.2 preparation, CDR test in December etc.

10:00 storage requirements per VO / site – these must be available early January to allow SRM v2.2 testing by experiments prior to CCRC’08 startup

11:00 review of functional blocks by VO with emphasis on “scaling factors”  - also for the “critical services” that each functional block exercises

  1. CERN: data recording, processing, CAF, data export
  2. Tier-1’s: data handling (import, mass-storage, export), processing, analysis
  3. Tier-2’s: Data Analysis, Monte Carlo, data import and export

Can we fit this in 45’ per experiment? If so, need 3hours!

15:00: monitoring, logging, reporting – tracking the progress of the challenge (wikis, log-books, dashboards, other monitoring etc.

16:00 start of MB

This looks a bit tight – and I might have forgotten something. We will discuss Wednesday pm at the CCRC planning call, but this might be abit late. Maybe we could spill at least one of these over to the Wednesday, e.g. the last item?

Cheers, Jamie
