Present: Helmut, Pablo, Maria, Benedikt (on the phone). Apologies: Guenter (ill). 1. We can no more open anything under https://dev1.its.cern.ch/jira/ from Firefox. No problem for IE or Chrome. This was not happening before! We aren't ever offered the choice to "Add exception" to an untrusted connection! *** ACTION *** Pablo to open a SNOW ticket for CERN/IT/ITS group (JIRA). 2. The GGUS tracker was not ported to JIRA6 during the summer. This must be done before we do further testing. *** ACTION *** Benedikt said he 'll do that during the CHEP week 2013/10/14-18 3. Benedikt's answers to Guenter's most recent test comments of 2013/09/05 in https://savannah.cern.ch/support/?134651#comment69 Q1. Display problems as per screenshot https://savannah.cern.ch/support/download.php?file_id=35112 A1. Don't know, maybe this goes away with JIRA6. Q2. How can I administer fields and their possible values (e.g. for Planned release)? I tried https://dev1.its.cern.ch/jira/plugins/servlet/project-config/GGUS/fields but when clicking on "1 screen -> Default screen" at the right I get an error message: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". Maybe I'm doing something wrong. A2. Don't know. This question should be addressed to the JIRA experts. Q3. Clicking the "Edit" button of an issue shows the whole bunch of fields many of them not relevant for our project. Can this be changed? A3. This is a known issue. JIRA experts in CERN/IT/ITS are working on it. Q4. In the search bar there is a button "+ More Criteria" offering a couple of additional fields for searching. Are these fields equivalent to the fields in the administration section? The button drop-down list e.g. shows a field "Release" but not "Planned Release". Are they the same? If so why do they have different labels? A4. "Planned Release" is different from "Release. There are more standard JIRA fields that are hidden indeed but the manually defined ones are all listed. This will go away when A3, above, is done. Q5.1 Are watchers similar to CC? A5.1 Yes! Q5.2 Who can be added to the watch list? Only people with CERN account? How can I add watchers without CERN account? A5.2 Everyone who can find him/herself in https://account.cern.ch/ . You can't put a 'Watcher' who has no CERN account. Q5.3 I don't have privileges to browse the group list. How shall I know the people's account/name? A5.3 Make sure you have done login! 4. Benedikt's answers to Maria's https://savannah.cern.ch/support/?134651#comment66 Q: how to distinguish between displayed users/admins with the same name. A: maybe under JIRA6. 5. Status review of the original requirements for the GGUS savannah tracker in https://savannah.cern.ch/support/?134651#comment11 We need: a. that links to legacy savannah tickets don't break. ===> Yes, it works now. b. that internal links in these legacy savannah tickets do NOT break e.g. b.1. to comment #999 ===> No, it requires development. Not sure if/when it will. b.2. to another ticket support #999999 ===> Yes, but it points to savannah!?! b.3. to file #9999 ===> No, it requires development. Not sure if/when it will. b.4. to external link http://bla.domain/page ===> Yes, it works now. 6. Benedikt's confirmation on the savannah.cern.ch future (also communicated to the Tracking Tools TF): ------------ One can browse savannah tickets on the web as long as there are savannah projects being migrated to JIRA. Savannah project owners who don't wish to migrate or said nothing must understand that their project shall simply disappear when the server is shutdown. Legacy projects can either: - be migrated to JIRA - have their contents given to their owners as an xml dump - have their contents copied to tape, i.e. no more web-accessible! ------------ 7. Concern on public access to GGUS development tickets in JIRA from twikis, Release notes etc was clarified after the meeting from JIRA expert Nils Hoimyr: https://cern.service-now.com/service-portal/article.do?n=KB0002226 clarifies that by choosing an Open Source JIRA instance (like Open or EMI), projects are available publicly on the internet by default. 8. Pablo will gradually take over all GGUS-related activity. Maria will stay connected to the team as long as needed.
