Cigdem presented the report she had written about the survey and asked for comments.

Main Comments from were:

• the others at the meeting did not agree with the experts opinion that the childcare provided should be for children who come to CERN for at least few months.
  
• Cigdem was ask to remove the section with the statements of the childcare expert from the document and to only focus on the presentation of the survey's results.
  
• We agreed that the report should have a section about the current childcare facilities at and around CERN. Maria will write this section
• Lina agreed to write section about the possible funding sources at the European Union.
• We discussed what we what points we want to get acrross at the ACCU meeting:
  • Survey shows that there is a great need for child care.
  • CERN should provide affordable childcare for CERN users and not only for staff.
  • This survey's results show only the minimum number of places needed and a more thorough survey has to be done by CERN.
    
  • That there are funding possibilities in the EU and that we need help from the CERN legal office to tap into them.
• We had a lengthly discussion about if we should only focus on the USERs needs at the ACCU meeting since ACCU is representing the interests of Users.
  
• Cigdem also asked if the report should be send to CERN's equal opportunity group and this was not supported on the base that this group deals mainly with the needs of CERN staff but not users. The majority of the people at the meeting think that the document needs more work and should be send to the equal opportunity group after the ACCU meeting.
  

We then discussed possible funding sources at the European Union and concluded the meeting.
