Description
The subject of this talk is the resummation of the QCD perturbative expansion in the regime of soft gluon emission, often referred to as Sudakov resummation. After an introduction on the phenomenological relevance of this subject, and a brief recollection of known results, I will illustrate some problems in the computation of physical observables from resummed expressions. I will review some of the techniques usually adopted, and describe a recently proposed one, based on the idea of Borel summation of divergent series
