The setting up of the PS has continued, with emphasis on the East Area beam.

Friday and Saturday the beam was guided to the East Area beam dump and the slow extraction was setup. On sunday we started sending the beam to the new North branch target. The beam was ready on Tuesday, but lower rates were observed with respect to 2012. On wednesday the polarity of the two final quadrupoles in front of the target was checked and found to be wrong. This was corrected, the beam was readjusted and the production rates are now very good.

The setting up of the breams for ISOLDE, nTOF, AD continue are are still foreseen to be ready in time for the modified schedule.

there are still regular intervention in the different machines to solved outstanding or newly encountered issues. these interventions will now be schedule informing the East Area users.

East Area:

Many surprises in the starting up of the 2 beamlines. The fluroecent screens have been reinstalled. The beam stoper control button on the doors to the experimental areas have been removed without notice. They should now be accessed through software. This is now available through Cesar in the upstairs control room. CESAR compatible computers have been installed this morning the control rooms, gradually the beam controls will also move to CESAR. The documentation hasn't been updated yet. The magnet T10.BH2.02 has been tripping a couple of times. If it continues an intervention will be scheduled. As discussed last week the RP monitoring has jest been completed, a spurious alarm maybe possible in the comming weeks, as the thresholds need to be tuned. All the patrol right have been reset, user need to be re-trained for the patrols.

T9:

- AIDA Telescope: was installed and took first data last night. Improuved trigger capabilities will be tested during the Totem beam time.

- TOTEM: installation is ongoing.

- DAMPE: Will start installing Monday at 8AM, Lau mentioned that due to the bi-weekly group meeting the East Area staff will be available from 10AM.

Adam Thorton presented the request of getting 1 day of (parasitic) beam time to calibrate the CHARM facilty Ionization chamber. Atlas NSW beam time slot was identified as a suitable time to perform this calibration. The Physics coordinator will request this to ATLAS.

T10:

Alice ITS is installed and running. FIT and T0 will install on Monday.

n-TOF: start with beam on the 24th of July.

Safety:

Michael Jeckel reminded that safety shoes and helmets are required for work in the experiemental areas buidlings.

AOB:

- The East Area cranes will be unavailable week 31.

- Week 39, the 22-25 of September the zone of EHN1 will be closed for the access system commissioning.
