During August the CvmFS installation servers for LHC VOs will be migrated from 2.0 to 2.1 with the following schedule: * Tuesday 5th August - /cvmfs/sft.cern.ch and /cvmfs/ams.cern.ch * Tuesday 12th August - /cvmfs/atlas.cern.ch and /cvmfs/alice.cern.ch * Thursday 28th August - /cvmfs/atlas-condb.cern.ch and /cvmfs/lhcb-conddb.cern.ch * Tuesday 2nd September - /cvmfs/cms.cern.ch and /cvmfs/lhcb.cern.ch One week before migration each will be confirmed via an entry on http://cern.ch/itssb and a mail to LxCvmfs-. Each migration typically starts around 10:00 and for much of the rest of day the repository will be unavailable for writes. Possibly shorter for smaller repositories (i.e. Atlas and AMS are not small) Note the migration also migrates the installation node for /cvmfs/x.cern.ch from SL5 to SL6. For all CvmFS client sites it is assumed that by these dates sites will have upgraded their clients to 2.1.19 as released on 28th May. Sites running version <= 2.0 will immediately stop working. Sites running > 2.0 and < 2.1.19 will work mostly however there are known bugs resolved in 2.1.19 and upgrading is highly recommended.
