Abstract: In high-energy physics, we deal with statistics questions almost daily, although probably only few of us have studied this field exhaustively. In this talk, I will review some important concepts of statistics, as far as they are relevant for HEP. The main methods we use (such as limit setting and hypothesis testing) will be presented, including realistic examples and remarks on their implementation as computer programs.
