Description
Originally, Dirac-Born-Infeld (DBI) inflation is a string-inspired
inflation scenario where a probe D3-brane moves in the radial direction of
a higher-dimensional warped throat. The speaker will first review this scenario, highlighting
the difference with conventional inflation concerning the spectrum of
perturbations and non-Gaussianities. He will then show how to take into
account the angular motion of the brane in the extra-dimensions, which can
have drastic consequences for observational quantities.
