Abstract IBM Software Defined Storage, in particular the technology offering codenamed Elastic Storage (based on GPFS technology) has proven to be an ideal match for Enterprise File Sync and Share (EFSS) solutions that need highly scalable storage. The presentation will provide insight into the integration of Elastic Storage with the ownCloud Enterprise Edition (based on Open Source technology) software that showed impressive scalability and performance metrics during a proof-of-concept phase of an installation that is supposed to serve 300000 users when fully deployed.
