WG1+subgroups conveners meeting: present M.Grazzini, R.Harlander, P.Musella,B.Mellado (WG1 conv.) S.Forte, A.Lazopoulos, G.Zanderighi, D.Gillbert, C.Hays (ggF) L.Reina, C.Neu (ttH) N.Kauer, Y.Gao (off-shell) P.Govoni, E.Pianori, F.Tramontano (VBF+VH) A.Denner, S.Heinemeier, D.Rebuzzi (BR) - ggF task force The discussion starts on the recent ATLAS request to the ggF and WG1 conveners. MG summarizes the present situation and explains the motivations of the draft response prepared by the WG1 conveners, and sent to ggF. DG says that he and CH asked these numbers on behalf of ATLAS, and that they are supposed to be used in a comparison with a measured cross section, not to extract fundamental parameters. If the LHCXSWG is not ready to provide these numbers now, ATLAS will contact directly the authors of the various calculations. SF explain his position: ATLAS is asking for numbers. Either we solicit the groups to provide numbers before Christmas or we wait. He does not have a strong opinion. GZ has no strong opinion. AL is in favour of providing the numbers to ATLAS, because if not they will contact directly the various theorists involved. MG comments that the activities seem to have been paralysed by this discussion on the inclusive cross section. He asks if some discussion on jet-veto issues and differential cross sections was held. GZ answers that nothing else has been done except discussing on the inclusive cross section. Maybe there will be a meeting in january but it is not clear. The discussion on the inclusive ggF cross section and on how to deal with this kind of requests from the experiments will continue in the january meeting. - BR subgroup AD and SH summarize the situation for the SM part and BSM part, respectively. A document is on the indico agenda. - ttH CN starts by reviewing how the activities have been organized. Everything started from the observation that there is a wide community interested in ttH and the ttH task force has taken the role of coordinating the discussion among the experimentalists and between theorists and experimentalists. A number of topical meetings has been organized that have been very productive. LR continues from the TH side saying that these meeting were very useful to define a framework for a meaningful comparison with EXP LR asks what are the expectations on the final report. MG and RH answer that the report is supposed to be a 2-5 pages document to be put on the twiki page that summarizes what has been done and serves as a starting point for the future. The document can in principle become a true article. - VH+VBF PG and FT go through the document uploaded on the indico. PG asks how to deal with BSM studies in VBF. MG answers that it would be good if a contact is established with WG3. PG asks if there is a plan to discuss H+jets in VBF and in ggF. AL says that a common discussion of the ggF and VBF+VH subroups on this issue is desirable. - Off-shell NK goes through the document uploaded on the indico. BM asks some clarifications on the Hcc coupling. MG says that in the activities of the off-shell task-force there is a possible overlap with the activities of the WG2, and he asks if some connection with the WG2 conveners has been established. NK answers that this can be done and that such a collaboration will be indeed be very useful. The off-shell task force can focus on the SM issues and on providing tools, while the WG2 could concentrate on the Higgs properties.
