Monte carlo event generators are an indispensible tool for High Energy 
Physics experiments. In this talk I will start by discussing the underlying 
anatomy of event generators, going through what parameters and settings 
that are important in the context of charged Higgs boson production. I will 
then turn to more specialized tools, such as Matrix-element calculators and 
different decay programs of relevance. Finally I will say something about 
future developments.
