--------------------------------- 150403 DH&A Japan Progress Report --------------------------------- [1] Progress Report (1-1) End-to-End Test End-to-end communication from CALET to WCOC was tested using ICS link. Commanding operation from CALET-GSE at JAXA was also tested. All the tests were successfully completed. (1-2) WCOC QL System WCOC QL system was used to monitor the CALET in real time during the CALET system PFT. The QLs were consistently improved during the test and they are well capable of monitoring the observation in realtime. (1-3) Schedule/Macro Command Files During 72hr muon run, schedule command file created at WCOC was used to operate the CALET and it was successful. Schedule command file is sequense of commands with time to be executed. The main command used in the schedule command file is the execution of macro command file. Macro command files were also created at WCOC and JAXA and they were used in 72hr muon run. [2] Action Items (2-1) 24-hour long simulation data In addition to operation settings, high voltage setting, temperatures, and other house keeping data are now filled with typical values. Although processing the 24-hour data is still in progress, part of them will be uploaded by the international teleconference. (2-2) description of trigger system An intensive but brief description of the CALET trigger system was circulated as a material of the international teleconference. (2-3) description of coordinate system A brief description of the CALET coordinate system and channel assignment in physical space was circulated, too. (2-4) Level1 format Now we have started working on them again. However, until the final test at the launch site is completed, it would be difficult to concentrate on this task. We will close the action item by the next TIM.
