From: Ruth [ruth@fnal.gov] Sent: 11 November 2002 15:46 To: hijtb@hicb.org Subject: [Hijtb] GLUE Status Dear JTB GLUE status for discussion and correction at todays meeting. I will read it for those who won't have time to have read it in email! STAGE 1: Phase I: Authentication Instructure: basic interoperability works. Good collaboration established between EU and US sides. Work continues under EDG/LCG Security, PPDG SiteAAA, Laboratory Security folks, DOE SG, Globus, GGF. Authorization Management: basic use of gridmapfiles with supporting LDAP VO servers works. This is insufficient for the medium term (EDG V2.0.0). Collaboration continues with above groups and dataTAG. US use of VoMS and LCAS is starting in next few months. New Globus CAS in the horizon. Agreement in princple at GGF for common API. Unified Service Discovery and Information Infrastructure. GLUE SChema CE, SE, CESEBind released and in VDT 1.1.3 and beyond. CE information providers in test; SE information providers in development. Need to ensure get included in EDG release. This is all still an area of concern and I would like some discussion. Test of Phase I infrastructure. This has been done through WorldGrid and the IST and SC demos. I am saying GLUE Stage I Phase I is 85% complete. But of course 90% of the effort is in the last 10% of the work... Stage I Phase II: Data Movement infrastructure. This has been testedusing GridFTP as part of Worldgrid. I would like discussion of this in the meeting this morning. Stage I Phase III: Some initial discussions has occurred. High Level services. Test of the complete computational service EDG-VDT packaging of the common software.
