N(N)LO Tools

Description
Due to the large number of people who subscribed we decided to split into some semi-parallel working groups, namely Experimental needs, Higgs, NNLO, and NLO. Experimental Needs and NNLO will operate in parallel as will Higgs and NLO.

The primary aim is to discuss what higher order tools are required to maximise the physics return of the LHC and assist the experimenters in analysing data.

The Experimental Needs subgroup will be tasked with compiling a list of required tools and providing a list of those tools that are required and still to be constructed.

The Higgs subgroup will focus on issues connected with the Higgs signal and backgrounds, and generators, bearing in mind the needs for first detecting the Higgs and second measuring the properties of the Higgs.

The NLO subgroup will focus on methods and algorithms for automating the production of NLO codes for arbitrary multiparticle final states, including both massless and massive particles, the numerical evaluation of loop integrals and the interface with the parton shower.

The main issues in the NNLO session will be the handling of the double unresolved real radiation contributions, new methods for evaluating the phase space integrals, two-loop integrals and the assembly of the various contributions to give predictions for physical observables.
