Description
We present a recent calculation of the next-to-leading order splitting amplitudes in QCD. Using a new method derived by D. A. Kosower we extend existing results to all orders in the dimensional regularization parameter e. This extension will find applications in NNLO jet physics. In addition to their use in jet physics the higher-order splitting amplitudes can be used to derive the Altarelli-Parisi kernels. We illustrate the new approach by the rederivation of the g Æ gg Altarelli-Parisi kernel at NLO.
