- Murthy is absent due to family reasons and will be
back next Monday. Miro will then discuss with him the OraMon memory leak
problem.
Dinesh:
CCTracker status,
Work on incorporating faults in CCService is in progress. This feature will
be useful for handing any exception during web service calls. I'm facing few
problems in implementing soap faults for web service operations but will be able
find solution in a day or two.
Sharma:
Sensor-exception - work on on-behalf metric
correlation is 80% complete. It will be available for testing by the end of this
week.
Wassh - I have started the implementation and also added the requirements
submitted by various people.
- Sharma will provide next week a preliminary timeline
for the first wassh2 implementation, after finishing with sensor-exception.
Salim:
1) Made changes in OraMon & FlatMon to have no
restriction on no. of nodenames that can be requested from XML Gateway for
fetching Metric samples.
2) Working on finalizing LemonAPI & LemonData class documentation. Support for
node, metric, and sample Iterator is also added to the doc.
3) Development on LemonAPI class is in progress. Currently working on URL fetch
module.
- The client API implementation is done in C++ and will
be made available via SWIG in Perl and Python, and later in PHP. A C
implementation is not considered to be of high priority.
- Special attention has been given to scalability
aspects in the XML API design. Query size limitations can be set at the
server side e.g. via PHP memory settings. Access restrictions can be
enforced at different levels (eg. iptables, apache configuration).
- Specific throttling restrictions (e.g. maximum number
of parallel requests) will be considered as well.
