Description
The presentation will aim to provide a broad insight into how web archiving is undertaken and managed in Australia through PANDORA: Australia's Web Archive. Specifically it will:


  • provide some background and context to the approach to web archiving in Australia, as led by the National Library of Australia;

  • provide some basic information about PANDAS, the web-based management system developed by the NLA to manage web archiving workflows;

  • explain in some detail the actual web archiving workflows and procedures and how PANDAS supports these; and,

  • offer some observations on the PANDORA approach to web archiving and future directions for web archiving in Australia.
