Description
A cluster of five ultra-high-energy cosmic rays in the combined AGASA and HiRes stereo data are studied. The probability that the quad above 37 EeV is a chance association is 0.1 %, and the 5th event found when the 214 HiRes events from 10-30 EeV are included has about an 85% chance of being part of the same cluster. The random magnetic deflections these UHECRs accumulated en route from their source is used to constrain the intervening magnetic fields. Galactic magnetic deflection appears to be smaller than predicted in some models. SDSS and other data is used to constrain the source location and develop a hypothesis about the large scale structure of cosmic magnetic fields. The spectrum gives con-straints on the nature of the source.
