Minutes: Present Marcel Soberman David Ferguson (Chair) Joanne Barnett (Secretary) Roberto Barbera Florence Jacq 1. Need to report on what has been done about accessing information on: * Applications Developers (Florence and David have done some work in this area - information attached) * Users (this is yet to be done by Jim and Joanne at TERENA - apologies but been very busy with conference etc) * Operations (Torsten has done some work in this area but couldn't join the meeting today so this will be confirmed later) 2. There are several slots at Athens where the UIG will be mentioned (including what progress has been made and future plans). It was agreed that this should be formally agreed between the group and as David needs to present UIG on Wednesday, a meeting should be held in Athens on Tuesday 19 April at lunchtime in the Poros room at 13.30 pm (this WILL NOT be on the programme so please make a note of it in your diaries). This is where the UIG will be presented in Athens: * Training event on Sunday (David Ferguson to do as Joanne anticipates she will be busy with organising things for the conference) * NA3/SA1/SA2/JRA1 meeting on Tuesday (David Ferguson will mention as this meeting overlaps with the NA2 meeting chaired by Joanne) * In the summary on Friday (as the NA2 slot has been dropped, it falls to NA3 Malcolm or David) 3. Roberto Barbera said he has become aware in the last week that there is another group - ESC - set-up in January the aim of which appears to be suppporting users. It is important for the UIG to find out if the EST are doing similar work in order to avoid duplication. Roberto will send David the relevant documentation and David will investigate. Perhaps it is a good idea that someone from EST joins the UIG? 4. Joanne has arranged for the UIG meetings to be put on the EGEE/meetings page for future reference.
