DTeam meeting minutes - January 5th

Action items
============

Closed items have been removed by JC, others updated if appropriate. 

Some things will be discussed at GridPP 15, leave Fraser + Alessandra's items. Others discussed at some level. Specific things:

Documentation web pages need to be updated, maybe moved to wiki? Discuss next week.

10 networking questions being completed - some sites yet to do it.

Should chase item on security update procedure, + put result in wiki (Olivier).

Some discussion about how to organise per site pages - template, or free format? No real conclusion, just try something.

Some discussion about data transfer rates - still a problem with dpm/dcache interaction. Transfers are going ahead.

Problems at Imperial with speed of dcache posix access?

Move dteam mailing list to Glasgow or CERN? CCs stripped at the moment.

Publishing dcache stats to R-GMA needs a bit of extra work - Steve offers to do it.


Transfer tests
==============

Tests at Man/RAL and Glas/Ed before xmas, rates reasonable. Some attempts to tweak at Glasgow but no apparent effect. Next will be Durham + Imperial, Edinburgh local, others tbd. Next week is GridPP 15, lots of meetings, hard to do much.

Side discussion: accounting still missing for condor (and SGE?) - need to find a way forward. Who should be responsible? Also SFT history reports are not yet ideal (only 1 month), work is under way but maybe not high priority.


Items for FTF Jan 13th

Discuss temporary VOs for students? Transfer tests; ROC processes; LCG 2.7 release - pre-release testing strategy.


Supported VOs
=============

Need web page to summarise VO info - in the wiki? Fusion VO may be coming? Maybe more support in 2.7?


Quarterly reports
=================

Under way, but problems with SFT info. Need to discuss ways to improve efficiency of compilation of reports. Can only start after quarter ends? But could start some things earlier. Ideally need something for PMB/DB next week.
