1. Introduction
- Very few participants in the meeting. Most probable reason: Site were not sufficiently informed -> better announcement next time, few days in advance.
- Comments on last meeting's minutes
o Additional communication channels still to be added. Clarify existing lists (#! Sven)
o still collecting Top 5 MW changes: send feedback to Sven (!# ALL)
o provide feedback about MW problems (GGUS tickets and/or suggestions for improvement !# ALL)
o Solution suggested for dCache related problem by data management experts (RWTH Aachen, Ticket #9885) -> Please check (!# Admins RWTH)
o "Missing Quattor scripts" problem forwarded to RMs meeting, initiative started to strengthen existing Quattor Group lead by Michel Louvin. - H.G.B.: Freiburg also interested.
o tickets opened for missing OPS VO support
- Announcements
o GridKa School from September 11-15, 2006. Please find further information at http://www.fzk.de/gks06 .
o change of time slot for EGEE Operations Meeting (instead of Monday then Wednesday from Sept. 11th)
o new version of CIC Portal soon (Oracle based)
o action plan for info sys instabilities (large sites)
o new FCR tool currently tested by VOs (SAM based)
o SAM will replace/follow up SFTs soon, preparations ongoing.
- Changeover from Classic SE to DPM
o CERN will no longer support Classic SE from autumn on
o small sites are advised to migrate to DPM instead (full migration support by CERN, open GGUS ticket in ROC DECH Portal if necessary)
o region DECH will continue supporting dCache, though there's still work to do for dCache deployment team, e.g. ACLs and VOMS support.

2. Status and Plans for "DECH" VO
- agreed about extended rollout in our region, announce rollout in next meeting e.g. with a two months schedule: each DECH site should support DECH VO, at least one job slot.
- DECH VO  should be used in future also to provide (preliminary) first resources for newly registered VOs in EGEE.

3. Round the Sites (gLite update status, encountered problems, issues to discuss, ops-VO, ..)

*CSCS*
missing

*DESY-HH*
missing

*DESY-ZN*
status and issues:
- gLite 3.0 update finished some time ago, but lots of obstacles. Most important: necessary bug fixes don't make it in the next release because of testing procedures, GGUS tickets have been by deployment team closed, though problem is not solved yet.
- SC4 participation started, ATLAS transfer channels set up, putting stress on existing bandwidth, but full final bandwidth not there yet. Tier1 connection in place, FTS tests ongoing.

*FZK*
status and issues:
- ops-VO in place
- dCache migrated to new servers
- two FTS servers running (1.4 and 1.5)
- missing config files on WNs caused R-GMA problems (solved now)
- preparation security challenge (Regional Contact: Ursula Epting)

*GSI*
missing

*ITWM*
missing

*MPPMU*
missing

*RWTH Aachen*
missing

*SCAI*
status and issues:
- OPS VO supported
- few remaining gLite 3.0 configurations

*Uni Dortmund*
status and issues:
- Christoph Wissing continues work for Dortmund on best-effort basis
- site running with gLite 3.0.0
- running with dCache
- OPS VO tests (mostly) "ok" since weeks
- low ticket load
- VO support: LHCb (1% of LCHb total), H1 (typically 5%), Babar local testing ongoing, LCG planned.

*Uni Freiburg*
status and issues:
- many problems with gLite 3.0 update:
o most important: MW should not have to be installed from scratch, smooth update requested.
o dCache migration went wrong, 2 TB of data in danger! Not clear if problem is covered by the manual.
A.H.: Good policy to split admin node and SRM node to two machines. Should contact: support@dcache.org
H.G.B.: Thanks for the hint. Seems very useful.

*Uni Karlsruhe*
status:    (no site representative present)
- problem with WNs, usage of tarballs advised
A.H.: be careful, bug in yaim still present, see ticket https://gus.fzk.de/ws/overview.php?ticket=8722

*Uni Wuppertal*

Status:
Successful first unofficial COD-shift for ROC-DECH with overall responsibility on Italian COD.

K.C.: o collaboration with Italian team worked fine, successfully used chat room for communication
o hard work
o very much more tickets on Mondays
o tickets split in DECH team
o estimated effort: two person weeks (more than one PW)
o exclusive COD shift, without help by Italian team
