Description
A general overview of the whole PSS system at ESS will be presented with emphasis on the PSS architecture, control system components and procedures for the ESS Accelerator. Some of the important safety elements, sensors and actuators for PSS will be presented in more details. To show how these elements can be put together, a test bench is being built at Protection Systems lab at ESS and its status will be presented. A PSS system will be designed and implemented following the IEC 61508 and accordingly, the hazard analysis documents will be presented at the end of the talk.
