Description
The origin of electroweak symmetry breaking is one of the most important problems of experimental high energy physics. The possibility that new strong interactions at the TeV scale are responsible for electroweak symmetry breaking was considered in the early days of the standard model, and called "technicolor." This talk introduces a new paradigm for strong electroweak symmetry breaking involving conformal dynamics that addresses the very serious problems faced by strong electroweak symmetry breaking. New experimental signatures relevant for the LHC will be emphasized.
