Description
From 11th till 17th June 2013, 10 finalists of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, the world's largest international pre-college science competition (approximately 1,700 high school students from more than 75 countries), who won the CERN Special Award will come to visit CERN and to partake in various educational lectures. Their projects (cf. attachment for more details) span the following categories: Embedded Systems, Engineering Mechanics, Physics and Astronomy, Robotics and Intelligent Machines, Systems Software, Mathematics. At the top of being a finalist of the competition, the award winners had to actively apply to the CERN award and pass an online selective test. Three of our colleagues then came to the fair in May to assess their projects and interview them to finalise the selection process. We propose you to come to the Main auditorium on Thursday 16 June at 15:00. They will present their projects in short 5 minutes lightning talks' sessions. The award winners would be very happy to have a chance to interact and discuss with you after the presentations at restaurant 1.
