CERN is organizing the next RADECS 2017 conference. It will be held October 2nd to 6th in Geneva, Switzerland at the Centre International des Congrès de Genève (CICG). Surrounded as it is by Europe's tallest mountains and the picturesque Swiss and French countryside, Geneva makes a unique destination.
This year's CERN edition of RADECS will take advantage of the synergies across domains as diverse as Space, Avionics, ground level and particle accelerators to offer a conference featuring a superb variety of topics. The short course entitled “From Space to Ground and Below” perfectly reflects the spirit and theme of this conference. RADECS 2017 will provide a unique opportunity to combine the understanding and techniques from different fields in order to pave the way to tomorrow’s applications and challenges. We have, therefore, introduced five new session topics to the conference this year.
We strongly encourage students to submit papers to the conference and have put a student sponsorship programme in place to facilitate their attendance. The student sponsorship programme will cover travel, accommodation, and technical session fees including the short course. It will provide funding for a minimum of 10 students that will be selected by the technical programme committee.
CERN visits will be organized along the week, allowing the participants to soak up the atmosphere of the lab that discovered the Higgs Boson. We are looking forward to welcoming you to Geneva.
