Description
Second meeting of the MIXMAX network on innovative pseudo-random number generators. CERN is hosting the second meeting of the MIXMAX network, a collaboration between European institutes and CERN (EU project MIXMAX-H2020-MSCA-RISE02014) to develop a new class of pseudo-random number generators based on Kolmogorov-Anosov K-systems. These new type of generators demonstrate excellent statistical property and the aim of the project is to turn them in useful products for Monte Carlo simulations and to integrate them in the CERN software applications used by the LHC and other HEP experiments. The aim of the second meeting is to summarise the results which have been obtained by the Consortium during the first two years of the MIXMAX project devoted to the new family of pseudorandom number generators and to the discuss the future plans.
