BDS tuning update w/Ryan Bodenstein (RHUL)
Participants: Rogelio, Edu, Ryan, Juergen, Georgia, Yanliang, Andrea - from remote: Marcin
Rogelio news: ATF2 Project meeting to be held during next CLIC Workshop
Marcin starts his presentation: Simulation of orbit correction at ATF2
Q: Andrea: Correction only in Y or also X and Y? Simulations are peformed with MAD-X, but MAD-X does not simulate impedances and radiation. A: Correct, Okugi-san is performing SAD simulations which show an effect.
Q: Edu: dod you observe an orbit change with sextupole position? Yes, indeed. Edu recommends to include this orbit change when one applies the non-linear knobs.
Ryan presents: Investigating Traditional-Scheme Tuning. Tuning Guinea-pig parameters improved the results by 10%. Identified a few H and V aberrations that should be targeted by dedicated knobs.
