Description

CERN has for more than 25 years been using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) which over time has grown into a full-fledged Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platform that today is called Infor EAM. This EAM platform is since the beginning of 2016 provided by a new section in the EN/ACE group that is dedicated to providing a CERN-wide Asset & Maintenance Management service. The service includes applications such as MTF, Infor EAM, EAM Light and TREC as well as the user support, training and methodology needed to efficiently work with these tools.

The interest in Asset and Maintenance Management has grown significantly during the lasts years throughout the whole Organization and the number of equipment groups using Infor EAM have tripled over the last 5 years. Many of the long-time users, such as EN/CV, BE/ICS & TE/CRG, have become more advanced in their usage whereas many other groups (e.g. TE/VSC, TE/ABT & IT/CS) have recently started to deploy EAM functionality.

This presentation will highlight the current state of Infor EAM and outline its future roadmap at CERN. Focus will be put on demonstrating practical examples of how the platform can be used to help in managing equipment and installations throughout their lifecycles covering technical, safety as well as financial aspects.
