Konstantinov Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute of National Research Centre “Kurchatov Institute” (PNPI NRC KI, Gatchina). SPbPU is one the leading technical universities in Russia (in recent international higher education ratings it is in top three Russian technical universities) has long established physics traditions in Russia. About half of PNPI NRC KI scientific personnel are graduates from SPbPU experimental nuclear physics (ENP) department. SPbPU ENP department is currently involved in PHENIX experiment at BNL RHIC and in ALICE experiment at CERN LHC. Department chair Prof. Yaroslav Berdnikov is supposed to be SPbPU team leader at SHiP. Associate membership of SPbPU will allow its graduate and PhD students to participate in SHiP experiment directly. Already, one of SPbPU master students, Vladimir Solovyev, is actively participating in data analysis of last year test beam for SHiP tracker system. We discussed last year in August at Moscow, in September at St. Petersburg and in December at CERN on possible associate membership of SPbPU via PNPI NRC KI with Prof. Andrei Golutvin and Prof. Richard Jacobbson. Unfortunately, because of some commitments neither I nor Prof. Yaroslav Berdnikov cannot attend the SHiP collaboration meeting in London, but as team leader of PNPI NRC KI I strongly support the request of SPbPU. Best regards, Victor Kim =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
