Gino Isidori - Translating between pseudoobservables and SMEFT: - POs are defined uniquely given the process measured. - Gino advocated that PO and BSMC are equally general, so no theory reason to only implement PO in BSMC i.e. Rosetta.  Instead can just implement in generator, which is in progress. However it was pointed out that since MC exists in HC, experimentally it’s useful to start from there. - It was also commented that the main goal experimentally is to determine whether any additional experimental observables are missing, while translating from one model to another under certain constraints. If strictly necessary the latter can be left to theorists, though is still good for experimentalists to do. - As discussed at Higgs Couplings, testing now with pseudoobservables and can give feedback to Gino. Ken Mimasu - Translating between SMEFT and HC with Rosetta: - BSMC is a superset of Higgs basis and similar EFT bases.  Can convert measurements from BSMC parametrization to those subsets. PO is at similar generality to BSMC. - Main limitations of Higgs Characterization model are that it assumes custodial symmetry, and lacks contact interaction terms.  The latter could affect e.g. m34 in Vh / VBF h->ZZ->4l, but otherwise should be a fairly small effect. - For Higgs analyses, useful to focus on Higgs basis which contains most of Higgs-related operators.  Assume that other e.g. EW parameters are measured much more precisely by LEP.  Only fit parameters to which there is sensitivity.
