Notes: Stave QA 6-28-2017

Roy- Has a plexiglass plate for laser experiment. Wants to test using the plexiglass without putting on a coat of paint first.

They believe it would be best to put a layer of something on it to make it more visible. The problem is, is that will damage the flatness… So Roy will look into ways to either put a coat of something on it to make it opaque.

After discussion, the group thinks that it would be best to find a new flatness.

Laser Scanning

Boping- Looking at histogram of all the pixels after the 25 measurements… to see the RMS of 25 scans… Check to see if RMS is changing based upon the y direction which may be due to vignetting of the camera. Currently not seeing anything that supports this.

Thermal Camera

Will- Not certain what differences are between the two different measurements.

Edited: Figured it out, the location for changing the emissivity was not correctly changed. We now get the same results.
