Injection from booster to collider rings - schemes, specifications and discussions30m
Top-up injection is essential to keep the collider beam currents approximately constant, and consequently to realise the maximum luminosity production and beam stability. Possible injection schemes as well as recent investigations to mitigate the weak points of these schemes are presented. In connection to the injector design study, the bunch filling patterns in the booster and collider rings will be discussed.
