PS report (A. Guerrero Ollacarizqueta):
The PS only had 1 stop of 2h30mn this week, to investigate a water leak. It turned out to be water infiltration from the wall. It will be addressed in a future stop. Ana requested to stop the once a shift check of the nTOF trajectory with the beam screen as the BPM positions are logged, and the procedure quiet time consuming to the shift crew.
SPS report (K. Cornelis):
97.6% up time this week. However the duty cycle for the NA FT was affected by the concurrent running of HirradMat and AWAKE.
T8 IRRAD&CHARM (G. Pezzullo):
The RP tests completed nicely. Back to normal operations.
T9 PANDA DIRC/muon (J. Schwiening):
Very happy with the delivered number of spills. The Panda muon team is preparing the setup in the Hall, to be ready for next week. H. Wilkens noted that we now consistently get the number of protons per day similar to the best weekend of this year.
T10 LHCb TORCH (M. van Dijk):
See slides. Maarten reported on the use of the AZALEA telescope and the integration of the new Trigger-Logic Unit needed for the upcoming TORCH run. For the moment a hybrid construction was put in place making use of both the old and the new TLU. D. Cusans et. al. will work on further integration of the new TLU.
T10 CBM PSD (L. Gatignon):
No representative present, due to NA61 hardware meeting. Lau reported he was shown good time of flight plots.
nTOF (F. Mingrone):
Area 2 runs an imaging experiment in the coming two days. In Area 1 the AD target. From the 11th to the 13th, nTOF will be in access during working hours. Federica insisted to keep the beam screen trajectory checks till another way of detecting changes in the trajectory are in place.
H2 NA61 neutrino (A. Aduszkievicz):
Antoni is excused due to the NA6 hardware meeting. H. Wilkens presented the slides on NA61 behalf. Between 2.5 and 3.5 million events were collected at the 6 reactions studied during the 5 weeks run.
H2 CALICE (G. Grenier):
The CALICE Team is grateful to P. Carriere for completing the tune of the Cherenkovs on Wednesday. The CALICE program focuses on particle identification with the SDHCAL prototype. Also new RPCs will be tested.
H2 SHIP (R. Jacobsson):
Ship will have an extensive combined beam test, with new Straw tracker, Calorimeter Liquid Scintillator background tagger, and Emulsions. A wide range of beam types and energies will be used during the 2 weeks run (see slides). Also some days will be dedicated to CMS HGCAL. A Wobling change will be needed for the 350GeV/c protons.
H4 NA64 (V. Poliakov):
Good progress. The installation was completed in a day. Calibrations and commissioning ongoing. N. Charotonidis performed some beam tuning, reaching 11E6 electrons per spill. The beam size will need to be reduced to exploit this intensity.
H6 CMS Timing (D. Lazic):
Good run completed.
H6 ATLAS HGTD (L. Masetti):
Also HVCMOS participating to the run. Problems due to desynchronisation when writing out the data. It seems there are still some particles in the beam after the end of extraction signal.
H8 ATLAS TileCal ():
There is a problem (broken wire?) on one of the Cherenkov detectors. Also they would like to go from He to CO2 as radiator gas. This will be addressed after the weekend.
NA62 (D. Soldi):
OK.
