  • Installation
    • Take ROOT out of ILCinstall, have users install themselves -> Tom
    • EUTelescope installation issue
      • Fedora 24 works, C++11 flag causes problem, old gsl version, some environment variables aren't set correctly (esp. standard compiler)
      • We are also not using the most up-to-date version of ILCsoft
      • Post summary of our problems on ILCsoft issue tracker -> Tobias, Felix
      • Manpower needed!!! Tobias doesn't have time to help here
        • Tag new release with updated/working install scripts
        • Update to GBL version 2.0 -> will be using EIGEN instead of ROOT
        • Update ROOT version in reworked install script
      • New installer tagged in eutelescope github, see issue #348
        • Tobias' branch contains new installer version, see there
        • Problem with SLC6, manpower needed (or people need to figure that out themselves)
  • Documentation
    • Tom's documentation for Pixel? -> report in Pixel TB meeting sometime
      • To be expanded for use by 'everyone'
        --> also announce in all interested testbeam users meetings
      • Pull request done for documentation
      • Virtual machines with working installation available
        • standard ones ready in a few days -> are online!
        • Tobias started docker image for VMs, should be faster than standard VM
          --> is this something we want to do?
          --> We get them for free due to CI -> switch to these at some point, but keep VMs for now
    • Updating/concentrating mailing lists for users and developers -> Edo, (Tobias)
      • One list for developers, one for announcements to users
        --> eutelescope-users, announce on github wiki page
      • Questions/discussions on issue tracker
  • Clean up old code -> Tobias
    • Implement nice indentation using clang_format
      • Convention on Euler angles -> ALICE needs to change some processors, tbd next months
        --> will be documented on github-wiki

  • Tbd: remove some old processors
    • Starting to remove old style alignment -> backward compatible
  • GBL code uses some old classes -> some old stuff not removed yet
  • X0 measurement
    • Benni/Ulf's code, GBL-based (biased, because you put in a material estimate!)
    • Study resolution and impact of bias in GBL-method -> Hendrik
      • Cross-checking Hendriks processor with Benny Schwenkers code, results look to be consistent
    • Using Hendriks GBL branch Michaela reconstructed TB data -> Michaela will help implement in EUTelescope
    • Merge into GBL
       
  • GBL
    • create more general version, compatible with current definitions -> Tom (Tobias)
    • Implement generalized track search (currently using triplet search for pattern recognition)
    • Implement track reconstruction in B-field
    • GBL code from Hendrik
      • Merged back into master branch -> version for telescope only (no DUT) works
      • Works with new (GEAR) alignment scheme
      • Adding DUT should be straight-forward -> track finding might be more difficult
      • Newest version GBL 2.0.X is included (using EIGEN instead of ROOT)
      • The new installer will check this out!

 

  • EUDAQ2 readiness
    • Need more manpower to do this
    • We'll need it around summer (according to EUDAQ developers)
    • Yi took some data -> anyone working on EUTelescope reconstruction?
      • Edo: telescope only data can be reconstructed only changing the data converter
        --> Can we handle the merging of different data streams from different DAQ systems
      • Yi/Edo: present how EUDAQ2 works and how the data taking w/o mini-TLU worked
    • Developers workshop? At least Tobias, Andre, Yi should be available --> date?
    • Yi is taking data with FE-I4
    • EUDAQ2 based on certain version of LCIO -> EUTelescope would need to change to this version

 

  • Radial strips
    • Alex' GBL code used for 2016 reconstruction (straight strips)
    • 2017: radial strips, Ryan to implement in TGeo -> want working reco after May
      • How to do the implementation?
      • To be tested in ALLpix
    • Andy/Kenny to open a ticket on the github issue tracker to start the discussion
      • Describe setup and structure of data
      • Will try to converge on a todo list
    • Who will work on this? --> Mail to Ingrid for manpower
    • Strips meeting 25/26.04. --> will discuss there, incl manpower
      --> report at our next meeting
