Description
As far as computer security goes, malware is definitely nothing new. However, a special kind of malware has received a lot of attention over the last few years : ransomware. From large corporations to home users ransomware has become a plague that seems to be there to stay and not only on our "regular" computers. In the wake of TeslaCrypt, Locky, Cerber, and now WannaCry, this talk aims at presenting the operation and usual mechanisms behind ransomware propagation as well as discussing how most of them could be stopped.
