Description

We present a unified solution to  the  electroweak, CP (the smallness of the strong phase relative to the CKM phase) and  flavor hierarchies (including neutrino masses) of the Standard Model. The electroweak hierarchy problem  is solved by using the relaxion and clockwork mechanisms. The relaxion in our model is identified with the familon,  the PNGB of a Froggat-Nielsen  flavor symmetry that explains the SM quark and  lepton mass hierarchies. We add sterile neutrinos to  also account for neutrino masses via the seesaw mechanism and these generate the backreaction potential for the relaxion.  Finally we show that if the global flavor symmetry  has no QCD anomaly,  our model  can also solve the strong CP problem a la Nelson-Barr,  where we identify the phase of the relaxion at its final stopping point with the CKM phase.
