  • Few minor fixes, mostly for testing purposes

  • Fixes bugs in v6r18, mostly for RSS
  • Usage of MQ resources have been verified, both for RabbitMQ and for ActiveMQ

Release planning, tests and certification

Release planning:

  • DIRAC accounting is not compatible with MySQL v5r7 [Zoltan to fix]
  • New gLogger -> logging code can be included as long as it will not break anything
    • old code will still be used for v6r18
• [v6r19] List of topics to include discussed today
  • Pilots logging (see below) should be the main point
  • Optional:
    • A partial replacement of pyGSI with M2Crypto
    • FTS3 (promised to be "non intrusive")

pilots logging

Clarified that pilot logging is NOT pilot log, which is a different topic. The pilots log centralization is not discussed in depth here, even though some of the tools developed for pilots logging can be re-used, specifically the MQ machinery.

2 parts:

• Pilot. Work done in pilot 3 repo since long.
  • need to fix JSON file from where to get bootstrap info like host, port, queue names
  • generate allCAs.pem file and put in CVMFS for stomp SSL connection
  • deploy instructions should be added.
• Server. PR #3360. Installed in DIRAC certification machine just for testing, working OK. Noticed that the consumers were missing, developed lately. Minor fixes needed.

A full integration test has been done using the DIRAC certification machine and a RabbitMQ server deployed on lbvobox50.cernc.ch. The test can be considered successful.

• LHCbDIRAC v8r8 is in production
