Student/postdoc Accomodation:

  • There are funds available to support one night in a hotel for students and postdocs who give talks, provided they have roommates.   To be eligible to these funds students/postdocs must register, submit a talk abstract, and indicate a preferred roommate by 5:00 pm CDT August 14, 2017. Both roommates must enter each other's name for the request to be honored. If you do not have a roommate in mind, indicate so and the organizers will pair people up.

    Once the abstracts are submitted the organizors will make reservations for the students/postdocs at Spring Hill Suites in downtown Lawrence.

  • Students/postdocs must register, submit a talk abstract, and indicate their roommate preference by 5 pm CDT August 14, 2017, for lodging to be provided.  Confirmation will be sent once rooms are reserved.

Faculty Accommodation:

  • Nine rooms at the Halcyon House have been reserved for faculty for the night of September 29, 2017.  Two of these rooms have a shared bath.  The Halcyon House is located directly off campus and near downtown.  Halcyon House provides a full breakfast from 8:00 am to 9:30 am on Saturdays and has street parking.  
  • These rooms will be held until August 31, 2017.
  • To reserve your room please call 785-841-0314 or email office@halcyonhouseks.com  and indicate that you are participating in Particle Physics on the Plains at KU.
  • The two rooms with shared bathroom are $69+taxes/night.
  • The larger, stand alone Carriage House is $119+taxes/night.
  • The other 6 rooms are $99+taxes/night.
