my of Sciences (HU))\nThe accuracy of astrophysical observations regarding
compact stars are\nahead of a big evolution jump thanks to instruments li
ke NICER [1]\,\nwhich will increase the accuracy of the measurements. The
discovery of\ngravitational waves originating from merging neutron stars i
n this year\n(GW170817 [2]) is the first step to use gravitational waves a
s a probe\nfor extremely dense nuclear matter.\n\nDespite these developmen
ts the masquarade problem still persists in\nmodeling cold superdense nucl
ear matter based on compact star\nobservables. Since many different models
yield similar neutron star\nparameters only high-precision measurements a
nd theoretical reasons can\nexclude models.\n\nIn this talk we present a r
ealistic\, Walecka-type model where the\nbosonic fluctuations are included
using the Functional Renormalization\nGroup (FRG) method in the Local Pot
ential Approximation (LPA)\, based on\na our technique published previousl
y [3\,4]. The thermodynamical\nquantities\, equation of state (EoS)\, comp
ressibility are calculated in\ndifferent approximations: mean field\, 1st
order and high order. Based\non these EoS\, the properties of the correspo
nding neutron stars are\nalso calculated using the Tolman--Oppenheimer--Vo
lkov (TOV) equations.\n\nIt is also presented\, how calculating quantum co
rrections in different\napproximations change the predicted neutron star p
arameters like mass\,\nradius and compactness. These results show\, that i
n the light of the\nnew developments in astrophysical observations quantum
corrections are\napproaching the threshold where calculating them will be
necessary for\nthe correct comparison between different models.\n\nRefere
