_____________________ 1 *********Search CDS videos********* _____________________ Hello and welcome, this is a tutorial on how to search for a video on the CERn document server video platform. On the main CDS video platform page, you can search for videos by typing the title in the search box, using certain key words from the video. Please be mindful that certain videos will only be accessible if you are logged in and if you belong to the relevant groups or if you have specific access rights. Please remember that some CERN users use several accounts and not all the accounts have the same access rights. If you can’t find a video you know you should have access to, make sure that you are logged in, but also that the account you are using is the correct one with the access rights to view the video. Once you see this page with the results of your search, you can further refine your search by using the filters at your left. For example based on the license of the video, or its type Click on the video once you’ve found it. On the page of the video you were looking for, you can see whether the video is restricted to certain groups or users as we said before, along with general information about the video, such as date, duration, and, most notably certain keywords that will be helpful for users searching the video. Options to share the video on social media are available at the bottom left of the page. On your right, you can download the main video from the page. When somebody uploads a video, they can include other files as well (such as a pdf for example), with the main video being called the “master file”. You can download this master file, here, and other formats are available as well. You also have the possibility to get thumbnails for the video, screenshots taken at various points of the video, such as at 15%, 55%, 75% and so on. Finally, at the bottom right of the page you have the metadata from the video, such as the frame rate, the format, the duration and others. Thank you for your attention, and see you in the next tutorial!
